“Kyouka! Are you okay? You’ve been rather distant as of late. Oh I know, you’ve fallen in love right?!” Of course this was all just to humor the sound of nothingness that was in the building. The girl wasn’t seen around the office often, since they normally sent her out with Atsushi for some sort of mission. However, the most recent one seemed to have some sort of effect on the girl, so of course Dazai was worried. However he wasn’t going to poke directly at the subject and instead get the information out of her through a casual conversation, at least try to anyways.
◣ ✿ ◥ Of course, the revelation that she hadn’t been the one to kill her parents after three years of thinking she did–and being reminded that she did–sent her mind reeling, and she had yet to figure out how to process that information. It was like they’d died all over again; the blankness felt just the same. Later, once she regained her senses on the issue, she’d cry just like she did before because even though she felt relieved she didn’t do it, the truth still hurt. Ah, but to answer Dazai’s question: “In love? I found a bakery with sweet rolls so good I’d trade my soul for one of them.”
