「 You can help, Kyouka-chan. If you’d just slit my throat with that ability of yours, you’d be a wonderful help. But I won’t ask you of that. It’s insensitive, right? Because you don’t want to kill anymore. 」 He’s definitely holding back, and he isn’t sure why. He wants to hurt her, right? To get her off his back. He could say much worse to her, but he doesn’t. Instead, he just gazes down at her with pitiful, lifeless eyes.

「 Don’t try to help me, Kyouka-chan. Some have tried, lots have failed.  」

◣ ✿ ◥ He was holding back right after telling her he’d make her cry, and some part of her–a childish part, surely–felt annoyed by that fact. But even if the words were gentler than she expected, they portrayed an entirely different point: he wouldn’t ask her to kill him because it’d be selfish. That was how he felt with people asking him to live; it seemed she just found a new course of conversation.

“It would be easy if you tried,” she started. “Killing yourself, you know. All you would have to do is slit your own throat, but you haven’t. You ask people who don’t want to to kill you, but don’t let the people who actually would. It’s your choice to stay alive despite how much you say you want to die.”
