♠ A hand reaches to the back of his neck, fiddles with the conveniently draped ginger locks. He’s about to turn to go, when he glances back at her curiously, his ears picking up on…an understandable sound. Does she have any money on her? It doesn’t look like it. He raises an eyebrow; no wonder the Agency always whine about not getting the luxuries of a hot meal. They aren’t equipped enough to eat out so much…
He raises his hand sheepishly, though readily. “Are you hungry? You know, I’m basically on my break too, and…there’s, ah. A good yakisoba stop a little ways down the street…You sure you want to wander all the way back without eating?” He counters slowly, unsure if she would accept…after all, it is a little odd, right? Not like there’s anyone suspicious around, like other members of the mafia, but he’s a higher position than most of them. If they approach, he’ll tell them to stand down and keep quiet. Chuuya blinks expectantly.
◣ ✿ ◥ Well, she had some money on her, but only enough for a snack at most places and certainly not enough to curb her appetite. It would have been enough to satisfy her on her walk back to the agency. He was offering to buy her food if she wasn’t mistaken though, and she was tempted to take him up on that. One thing to consider was that her coworkers might be suspicious if she didn’t walk back in requesting lunch from them; however, she could use the excuse that she bought lunch for herself. The only other objection would be the fact that he was a mafia executive.
Kyouka stepped forward. “Yakisoba sounds good.” So to answer his questions: yes and no, respectively. Despite their status as enemies, she doubted he had anything nefarious up his sleeve. None of the other agency members, from what she’d gathered that morning, had any jobs in the area, so they should be safe from that and just in case, she’d keep a lookout. As for possible confrontations with other mafia members–well, hopefully Chuuya would take care of that, and if not, she’d figure something out. “Let’s go.”
