♠ Chuuya is not just acting out of his good graces and the thin truce towards the Agency at this point in time. It’s more believable that he really does want to see Kyouka, even just for a little– they have a complex sort of bond, as many turn out to be if you and your teammates are friends. Acquaintances are not nurtured, but despite everything and how hard they fight, they’re only human. Both the Agency and the Mafia are similar, in that sense. Sometimes Chuuya wonders what it’s like on the other side; since who, really, is the “antagonist” of the story in such an odd farce between the two collectives?
He nods at her answer, perhaps feeling a little less self-conscious than before. At least she does seem to want to sit down a while. Chuuya, being a refined gentleman at certain times of day, doesn’t care for intruding on whatever her plans are, even if they are from opposing sides. “Well, we should be off, then.” He tries to tone down the formalities, and he walks right beside the smaller girl– bright, watchful blue hues flick across the scene every now and then.
◣ ✿ ◥ Kyouka wasn’t exactly a master at small talk (or conversation in general), but she felt like walking in silence would make it weird. They were, by all accounts, enemies now, so that made several topics forbidden, and since she didn’t do much outside of her work with the agency, there wasn’t much in the way of ‘non-work related adventures she had lately’ and she assumed the same for him. He was an executive in the mafia, which must keep him busy, after all–with plenty of things he couldn’t talk about. It occurred to her that the situation may be good for trying to weasel information about enemy plans from him by way of casual talk… but Kyouka wasn’t the wily type and she didn’t want to ruin what could be a pleasant encounter.
She walks with him in silence for a few minutes. “So,” she spoke up eventually without planning out the rest of her statement first. To stall for time, she allowed her gaze to take in the crowd around them, relieved to see no familiar faces. “How have you been?” Might as well go with the obvious question first, right?
