         “Kyouka-chan, let’s eat out for lunch today,” Atsushi suggested, diverting his gaze from the report he held in his hands. Offering her a bright smile, he set the newly proofread report on the desk and reached in his pocket to grab his wallet. “I’ll treat you. There’s a lot of places in Yokohama we haven’t tried out yet.”

           “It’s always nice to change things up a bit, right?”

◣ ✿ ◥ Lately, they’d been eating at home more often; Kyouka had been learning how to cook, and it saved Atsushi money. Along with that, when they weren’t together, she either got meals from other members of the agency or she bought food for herself. Aside from eating at the cafe downstairs, the two hadn’t gone out for lunch in a while.

Kyouka nodded at the offer. “I know a few places we could try.” While meandering the city on jobs, she made a point to scout out new cafes and restaurants to add to her list of places to go to eventually–and if she didn’t have to pay, then all the better. She mentally checked to make sure she was caught up with her work (and could therefore afford a good break) before reaching out for Atsushi’s hand. “Let’s go.”
